We live on a small inner city block in the eastern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. This blog is mostly about our aim to be more self sufficient, creating less waste and being more resourceful in our day to day living. Starting to garden our own food with the space allowed, canning, composting, and pickling etc. If you have any interest in eco-friendly living, this blog might be of interest to you, enjoy!

Radishes?
Anyone have any suggestions on what one could do with a bunch of radishes? I think I may have planted a couple too many. Will update with what we end up making from it all.

Unexpectedly, they're quite good roasted. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, then into the oven on about 200deg for about 25 minutes.
ReplyDeleteI'm half-Persian and I eat them sliced as part of a platter with fresh herbs and salad greens, goats cheese and flat bread. (Like this http://mypersiankitchen.com/herbs-feta-cheese-platter/). Traditionally this is an appetizer for parties but I think it makes a great light meal, and I love that I can grow everything except the cheese myself!
